ITIL Expert, I Has it

It was a long, hard, painful march of sorrow and circumstance, but I finally made it: I am a certified ITIL Expert. Having succeeded on my voyage of knowledge and betterment, I am totally convinced that 99% of what IT managers think is the right, is wrong. It least 50% of those wrong things could be corrected by adapting 30% of ITIL.

But... Adapting 100% ITIL is not the answer. Want to know where I learned that? Its in the in ITIL manuals.

Would I suggest the Global Knowledge classes? I just don't think so. They are not designed for the average guy: they are designed for PMP and Six Sigma people, for people that are significantly invested in the soft side of IT.

As it turns out, I passed by two points, because of their lop-sided grading. When you consider that most of the Expert phase was based on Service Strategy and Continual Service Improvement, and those were my lower scores, I guess I was right were I should have been.
SS   5 3 3 3 5 1 5 5 = 30
SD   5 5 5 5 1 5 5 3 = 34
ST   1 5 5 3 5 5 0 5 = 32
SO   5 5 5 1 1 5 5 5 = 32
CSI  5 5 5 5 3 0 3 5 = 31
MAL 5 5 1 5 3 0 5 5 = 29
Would I do it all over again? Ask me in five years.
